Distance learning course
I’ve been thinking about taking a distance learning course. I’ve always wanted to expand my educational horizons, and distance learning seems to be the perfect way to do it. Given my incredibly hectic work schedule, there is absolutely no way I could take night classes or attend an institution based-course, so this is the only way to go.
I’ve looked into it a little bit online, and there are plenty of courses to choose from. It’s also surprisingly affordable – with most of them, you can even pay in instalments and spread the cost over the year.

Pick up valuable qualifications with distance learning
distance learning has gone from strength to strength in recent years. Although it used to be looked upon when compared to traditional learning institutions, these days home learning courses have improved vastly, incorporating elearning techniques and using email and the Internet to keep students informed and engaged with their course.
Whatever your views on distance learning might be, it’s important to remember that a qualification obtained in this manner is just as valid as a qualification obtained through more conventional means. If you don’t have the time to take an institution-based course, home learning can be the perfect alternative.

A-Levels – accept the challenge
There seem to be so many educational options for young people approaching 16, these days. A-levels, AS-Levels, technical certificates, vocational training… But for those wanting to go on to higher education, A- and AS-Levels are the most common route.
Back in my day choosing a course to aim for involved thumbing through catalogues in the careers section at school. Nowadays, of course, a lot of the information you might need to make your choice is also online.
Whatever the rumblings in the media about exams getting easier, and whatever the technological advances in educational tools, I reckon it’s still a great achievement for any young person to work hard and get those A-Levels they need to go on to their dream course of study.
